Wishing to experience the West Coast of Australia and travel across the Nullabor I purchased an Avan Cruiseliner and set up my Toyota Camry Altise for towing (electronic braking, anti-sway bars, etc) and after renting out my home in Adelaide I set off in March 2012. Heading West then North up the Coast at this time of the year is not optimum due to prevailing winds and perhaps a month or two early but one learns these things..lol Travelling solo is always a challenge and I was fortunate not to have any tyre or mechanical issues. It's an experience I'll never regret and I was able to see some wonderful places on my journey.
