Description

While on Carnival Luminosa I was looking forward to my upcoming cruise on a ship called P&O Pacific Encounter, which is a Grand Class ship that was previously registered as Star Princess. Her infamous history was of her 2006 balcony fire. The ship has 17 decks, and 1298 cabins, and can serve approximately 2,600 passengers with the help of 1100-1200 crew members. The ship underwent refurbishment in 2021 which included adding three complementary restaurants, six bars and lounges, and four pools, and shortening her funnel. The speaker is interested in trying out the different dining options and spending time at the Altitude Nightclub. The ship offers drinks packages with a cap on the number of drinks per day and may charge the full price of a drink if it exceeds the package limit. I recommend checking onboard accounts to avoid unexpected fees. Additionally, consider options if available of future cruise credits, which could offer reduced deposits and onboard credits for future cruises. I look forward to seeing the self-service laundry that will excite most cruises when I sail on P&O Pacific Encounter in less than a week.
