Royal Caribbean’s drink package policy has sparked questions — but it’s not actually new. The rule has always required every guest over 21 in the same stateroom to purchase the Deluxe Beverage Package if one person does. Previously, exceptions were made for guests who were pregnant, in recovery, or had medical conditions, but as of August 1st, Royal Caribbean has begun strictly enforcing the rule with no exceptions.
