MUST KNOW tips when visiting Zion National Park
DON’T GO TO ZION NATIONAL PARK until you understand the SHUTTLE system. This is the #1 thing that confuses first-time visitors and can completely change your day if you aren’t prepared. 👇 Here’s everything you need to know about the Zion SHUTTLE: 🚌 The shuttle is FREE with your park entrance fee. 🚌 Most of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is CLOSED to private vehicles from spring through fall, so the shuttle is the only way to reach popular spots like: ✔ Angels Landing ✔ The Narrows ✔ Emerald Pools ✔ The Grotto ✔ Zion Lodge 🚌 There are TWO shuttle systems: 1️⃣ Springdale Shuttle (town shuttle) 2️⃣ Zion Canyon Shuttle (inside the park) You may need to use both depending on where you park. 🅿️ Parking inside Zion fills up EARLY—often before 8 AM. If the Visitor Center lot is full, you’ll need to park in Springdale and ride the shuttle into the park. ⏰ The earlier you arrive, the shorter the shuttle lines. During busy weekends and holidays, waits can exceed an hour. 🥾 Want to hike Angels Landing? You’ll need BOTH: ✅ A shuttle ride to The Grotto stop ✅ An Angels Landing permit 💡 Pro Tip: If you’re staying in Springdale, you may not need to drive at all.
