What gear do you really need onboard?
If you’re a true Swanner, past or future, this is something you need to know. One of the questions we’re asked most often is about drone usage during our expeditions. Thanks to @henri_lein from our Expedition Team, we’re happy to clarify it for everyone. GOOD TO KNOW According to the latest P&I regulations for expedition cruise vessels: Guests may only fly drones from land if they have obtained all required permits, as well as the appropriate license and insurance coverage. Without these, local authorities may impose fines. The same rule applies if a guest attempts to fly a drone from the ship, a Zodiac, or a tender. These regulations are mandatory and strictly enforced. We know capturing extraordinary moments is important, but protecting the destinations we explore, respecting local laws, and ensuring everyone’s safety always come first.
