What better way to start our Great Barrier Reef experience than with a helicopter flight from Hamilton island, over the Whitsunday Islands, and Whitehaven Beach, Heart Reef, and onwards to Reef World. We would then spend the day snorkeling along the reef checking out the coral and marine life before taking the boat back to Hamilton Island. We opted for Reef World so we could mix the day with the reef snorkeling and just take the boat back in the afternoon with those on the regular reef world tour.
