Is Royal Caribbean’s $119 Honeymoon Beach Excursion Actually Worth It? 👀 We booked the Escape to Water Island excursion during our stop in St. Thomas, which brought us over to beautiful Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. And the beach itself? Really nice. The water was calm, the sand was soft, the weather was perfect, and it was noticeably less crowded than Magens Bay. It’s also smaller and a little more secluded, which I actually liked. There are places to grab food and drinks, beach chairs, and everything you really need for a relaxing beach day. The bathrooms aren’t exactly luxurious 😂, but they get the job done. Here’s where I have an issue… It was $119 PER PERSON through the cruise line. For ChiChi and me, that’s $238 for the excursion. And then I found out you can get to Honeymoon Beach on your own using a private water taxi for considerably less money ($20 each roundtrip LOL) So would I come back to Honeymoon Beach? Absolutely. Would I pay $119 per person to book this exact excursion through the cruise line again? Nope.
