I Took the Overnight Ferry from Korea to Japan
I took the overnight Kampu Ferry (Seonghee) from Busan, South Korea to Shimonoseki, Japan. This isn't a luxury cruise—it's an authentic, historic local transit route that millions have taken since 1905, and it’s one of the most unique ways to cross into Japan. After catching the high-speed train from Seoul, I boarded the Seonghee to spend the night in a First Class Western Cabin. I'm showing you the full experience: the boarding process, navigating port fees with Korean Won, a full room tour, exploring the ship's onboard facilities, and waking up to my very first steps in Japan in the pufferfish capital of the world! Is this old-school ferry better than flying? Watch to find out. Next week, the journey continues with three trains to Tokyo!
