Nothing makes us, homeschooling/worldschooling/unschooling parents, happier than seeing our kids experience pure joy from the kind of independence and social interaction they wouldn’t have otherwise. Every single night all kids in our worldschooling group, from 7 years old to 15 and older (and some younger ones with parents’ help), completely independently organize a kids-only dinner. They agree on a time that doesn’t interfere with their schedules and the ship’s activities they want to do, check into the main dining, get seated, select and order their own food and drinks, toast, chat, eat dessert and in general act like mini adults. It’s absolutely adorable! And the kind of skills they learn from having these sort of experiences will definitely help them be more confident in the real world. This is just a simple example of the impact worldschooling as a community has on children. **Background Story👇** We are a worldschooling/unschooling/self-directed schooling family ( basically we learn in whatever way it makes sense to us at any given point), currently traveling around Asia and Australia ( Great Barrier Reef area) after completing a 32 day Pacific Ocean crossing on a worldschooling cruise with 15 other families.
