A Day in Aitutaki 🇨🇰 | Flying to Paradise, Lagoon Cruise & One Foot Island

We are Bec and Daz, a couple from Australia who love to travel, and in October 2025 we set off on a tropical adventure to the beautiful Cook Islands. For this trip, we’re exploring the stunning island of Rarotonga, experiencing local culture, beautiful beaches, and some unforgettable island adventures. We’re also lucky enough to be joined by my mum and dad along the way! In this video, we take a day trip from Rarotonga to the incredible island of Aitutaki. We board a tiny plane and fly over the most incredible turquoise waters before arriving in what genuinely feels like paradise. After a tour of Aitutaki, we head out on a Vaka cruise across the famous Aitutaki Lagoon, visiting beautiful islands including One Foot Island. We enjoy a fresh BBQ lunch on board, listen to live music, take in the incredible scenery and finish the day with some swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear lagoon. Aitutaki completely blew us away. From the moment we saw the turquoise lagoon from the plane, it felt like we had stepped into another world, and this quickly became one of the most incredible days of our Cook Islands adventure.
