Cruise Nostalgia: P&O Fairstar ('The Fun Ship') certainly wouldn't be considered a luxury cruise ship, especially by today's cruising standards, but she was certainly a very fun ship to be on! After completing long voyages from Southampton in 1964, she later settled in Sydney, becoming a primary cruise ship for Sydney to South Pacific cruising (Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji, New Zealand) under both Sitmar and P&O Australia ownership.
