Cruise to Nowhere - One crew member's story of being stuck on a cruise ship during Covid-19
This is the story of my time on the ‘Cruise to Nowhere.’ I was stuck at sea in covidock/quarandam with only crew onboard from March 18th until April 30th on M/S Zuiderdam, and from April 30th until May 13th 2020 on M/S Nieuw Statendam. This is my story and opinions, and not necessarily that of other crew members on these ships or the company. Neither of the ships I was on had any cases of Covid-19 at any time. Social distancing rules began for us on March 30th. We were confined to our cabins (apart from meals) from April 10th. The most inspiring thing to come out of this for me was seeing the crew come together to look after each other. I'm sending a huge thank you to Holland America and all the crew on Zuiderdam and Nieuw Statendam who looked after everyone during this time, and a special thank you to all my wonderful shipmates. I hope everyone still at sea gets home safely soon....and then not too long after that, all come back to work. #Wewillbeback #HALStrong #Bringthemhome ********************************** Remember to LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE to my channel to get all the latest updates on new port guides. *********************************** For more Port Guide, Tips and Tricks and all things Cruise, head to: WEBSITE: https://www.cruiseshipkaren.com FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/cruiseshipkaren/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/cruiseshipkaren/ LINKEDIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/karen-worrall-9a6639aa EMAIL: karen@cruiseshipkaren.com
