14 Things in Your Cruise Cabin Housekeeping Never Cleans
Your cruise cabin is not dirty. It is fast. On turnaround day one set of passengers walks off and another walks on within a few hours, and your cabin steward is responsible for roughly twenty rooms in that window. So what gets cleaned is what a reasonable person can clean in that time: the bathroom, the floor, the surfaces and the bed. Everything else runs on a slower rotation, and a few things run on no rotation at all. In this video I go through 14 of them, one by one, from more than 25 sailings across Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC, Norwegian and Costa. The TV remote and the light switches. The telephone handset and the safe keypad. The decorative bed runner and what actually happens to the duvet insert. Drinking glasses and the ice bucket. The hair dryer filter that cost me a service call and my dignity. The mini fridge door seal, the balcony rail, the sofa bed, the space under the bed where lost phones live, and the shower door track. And the fourteenth one has nothing to do with germs at all. It is sitting in your closet, it takes sixty seconds to check on embarkation day, and it is the one I would never skip. Every fix here is free, polite and takes seconds. No confrontation, no complaining, no assuming the worst about a crew that works harder than most of us ever will. 💬 Which line do you sail most, and are you a wipes person or an it-is-fine person? I read every single comment. 👍 If this was useful, a like genuinely helps the channel, and subscribe for the next one, which is about the money the ship quietly assumes you will hand over. #cruisetips #cruisecabin #cruisehacks
