I travelled from NZ to Antarctica on a ship

Day 20 from New Zealand to Antarctica. It was another great day at sea watching seabirds. I never thought the day would come when I’d be interested in birds that fly rather than the flightless ones (penguins), but I’ve downloaded a birding app, so I guess that makes me a birder now. I have thousands of bird photos that I can’t wait to share. I’ve even started a life list of birds I want to see. It’s incredible how other people’s enthusiasm for things rubs off; especially on trips like this. I never appreciated the difference that ship stabilisers make on a ship journey but I’m thoroughly impressed by how well the ship handled the 5m seas!
