We Found a FREE Hidden Gem in Vancouver WA (You Can Feed the Trout!)
Looking for FREE things to do in Vancouver, Washington? 🌿 Terry and Lidia here — and today we're exploring Columbia Springs Park, a beautiful nature area with hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and a historic fish hatchery where you can feed the fish for FREE!This is one of the nicest free parks we've found in the Portland/SW Washington area, and it's a hidden gem that a lot of locals don't even know about. Two miles of easy, well-maintained trails wind through thick trees, past ponds full of trout, and out to wildlife viewing decks overlooking East Biddle Lake and West Biddle Pond. We also walked through the historic Vancouver Trout Hatchery — it's free to explore — and stopped at the fish feeding pond to feed some very big, very hungry rainbow and brown trout. We have to say, that was a lot of fun!In this video you'll see: 🐟 The historic Vancouver Trout Hatchery & fish feeding pond (free!) 🌲 Heron Loop Trail, Cedar Circle Trail, and Trillium Trail 🦅 Two wildlife viewing decks — West Biddle Pond & East Biddle Lake 🎨 Public art along the Heron Loop Trail 🅿️ Free parking and no admission fee — open every single day of the year Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, a fun outing with the grandkids, or just a great free thing to do on a nice day — Columbia Springs delivers.
