American Airlines Long Haul Economy Review – Big Mistake
What should have been a routine flight home turned into one of the worst long-haul flights I’ve ever experienced. In this video I review my 17-hour economy flight on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with American Airlines from Dallas to Brisbane. After a last-minute schedule change completely altered my itinerary, I found myself paying hundreds of dollars again for “extra legroom”, and ultimately ending up in what might be one of the worst seats on the aircraft. At 198cm (6'5½") tall, seat choice is incredibly important when flying economy. Unfortunately, the seat I selected turned out to be narrower than normal, had obstructed legroom, limited recline, and didn’t even have a window — all on one of the longest flights in the world. In this honest review I cover: - What it’s like flying 17 hours in economy - The seat configuration on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner - Why this “extra legroom” seat isn’t what it seems - My experience with the service onboard American Airlines - The seat you should avoid if you’re flying Dallas to Brisbane If you’re planning a long haul flight on this aircraft, especially in economy, this review might help you avoid making the same mistake I did. ✈️ Route: Dallas – Brisbane – Sydney 🛫 Airline: American Airlines 🛩 Aircraft: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner 💺 Class: Economy / Extra Legroom If you enjoy honest airline and travel reviews, subscribe for more videos covering flights, cities, and travel experiences around the world. 👍 Subscribe for more travel reviews 🌎 New videos featuring flights, cruises and destinations
