Here is what I look for!! 1. Clean and great reviews!!! I can handle dated but I can’t handle dirty! 2. Free shuttle from the airport. 3. They offer a shuttle from the hotel to the cruise port for a decent price. ($10-12 pp). It means it is in good proximity of the cruise port. 4. Free breakfast. 🍳 5. In a safe area of town. 6. Within walking distance of essential shopping (pharmacy, grocery store) and good restaurants. 7. Possibly a pool if you are arriving at check in (3pm). 8. Affordable! If you are just staying the evening and won’t use most of the facilities, don’t pay for a hotel with many facilities! 9. Late check-in’s (in case your flight comes in late… BUT remember to call ahead and get them to confirm they will save your room).
