We experienced one of the windiest sea days we've ever had aboard Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas while sailing from New York. During our second-to-last day at sea, powerful winds made many of the outdoor decks difficult to enjoy, changing what was supposed to be a relaxing sea day into a completely different cruise experience. In this video, I'll show you what it was actually like onboard, how the weather affected passengers, what remained open, and whether the cruise was still enjoyable despite the conditions. If you're planning a cruise on Independence of the Seas or any Royal Caribbean ship, this gives you a realistic look at what can happen during rough weather at sea and what to expect if Mother Nature doesn't cooperate.
