We set sail from New York City and headed north to eastern Canada where we’ll have 5 ports of call. In this video we’re taking you with us as we explore around our first 3 cruise ports in Canada - Saint John New Brunswick, Halifax Nova Scotia and Sydney Nova Scotia. In Saint John we took a trolley tour around the town, which was a great way to see main attractions including Reversing Falls Rapids (where the Bay of Fundy meets the Saint John river) Kings Square and the City Market. In Halifax we did a self-guided tour around town and walked along the popular waterfront boardwalk, visited the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, the Halifax Citadel and Alexander Keith’s Brewery before heading back to the ship. If you have more time to spend in Halifax, we recommend visiting Peggy’s Cove which is another popular tourist destination about an hour out of town. We opted not to take a tour again in Sydney and spent some time exploring around the small town, seeing the world’s largest fiddle, visiting the Cossit House Museum, walking along the waterfront boardwalk and enjoying some local cider. A popular excursion in this part of Nova Scotia is the Cabot Trail, however we didn’t have enough time in port to see it.
