Cruising to Ocho Rios? Check your pier first, because the two aren't alike. Turtle Bay is the nicer one, walkable to Island Village with plenty to do right there. Reynolds Pier (some folks call it the James Bond pier) is pretty bare bones, and you'll need transportation to get anywhere. Either way, this is a port that rewards planning, because the good stuff isn't at the terminal. Dunn's River Falls is the classic climb (about $25 per person), but my actual favorite is the Blue Hole, also called Island Gully Falls. Bring water shoes, they're required, and get in the water, that's the whole magic. Skip haggling with taxis and book a private driver so you can go at your own pace.
