Disembarkation Day Drama!✈️ From Malta to Manchester (via Newcastle!)| P&O Azura Fly Cruise | REVIEW
It’s the final day of our P&O Azura fly cruise and time to head home! 🚢✈️ We had to be out of our cabin before 8am and waited to disembark for our flight back to Manchester. Matthew’s parents had special assistance arranged both onboard and at the airport, so we share what the process looks like step by step. Our cases were left outside the cabin the night before and we didn’t see them again until landing back in the UK – super smooth and convenient! Once at Malta Airport (which was very busy!) we grabbed some breakfast at the Hard Rock Café before boarding our flight. The journey didn’t go quite as planned… As we approached Manchester, the captain announced there was a queue of planes waiting to land and we didn’t have enough fuel to wait. Instead, we were diverted to Newcastle Airport! 🛬 The captain later confirmed there had been an emergency landing at Manchester, which caused the backlog. Thankfully, we got a new slot quickly and managed to take off from Newcastle, finally landing in Manchester at 5pm before making the drive back over the Pennines. 🚗💨 👉 Thanks so much for joining us on this adventure aboard P&O Azura!
