Carnival Raises Daily Gratuities — What Passengers Will Now Pay

Cruise news today. Carnival Cruise Line is raising onboard gratuities and drink package prices starting April second. Daily gratuities will increase from $16 to $17 per guest in standard staterooms, and from $18 to $19 for suites. The changes apply to U.S. and European sailings and mark Carnival’s first gratuity hike since 2023. Passengers aboard Celebrity Reflection ended up on an unexpected cruise to nowhere over the weekend after rough weather forced the cancellation of every port of call. The three-night sailing was scheduled to visit Key West and Bimini, but high winds made docking unsafe. A gastrointestinal illness outbreak has been reported aboard Seven Seas Mariner, the first U.S.-reported cruise ship outbreak of 2026.
