This is Part Two of a thrilling digitised cine film capturing a Tour of Cornwall from July 1970! It kicks off with a flurry of boats—perhaps fishing vessels—alongside a vibrant harbour scene where anglers cast their lines from the quayside. A lively side street buzzes with activity as a van navigates a narrow road. The harbour is alive with an array of boats and ships as our adventurous cameraman embarks on a boat trip along the Helford River and Frenchmans Creek aboard the charming "Queen of Helford." We glide past two tugs, followed by the impressive HMS Monkton M1155, a Ton-class Minesweeper, and a cargo ship cruising by. Upon arriving in Malpas, we spot the Heron Inn standing tall near the jetty. Back on the water, we cruise alongside a magnificent yacht, encounter more tugs, and several ships, including two tankers, one named "Speciality," registered in London. Once ashore, we feast our eyes on the stunning coastline at Land's End, where a helicopter swoops overhead just before a signpost reveals the date: 13 July 1970. Next, we set our sights on St Ives, where the harbour buzzes with boats and the adjacent road is teeming with people and passing cars. Among them, an MG MGB parks next to the lively Sloop Inn, while a fishing boat returns, trailed by a swarm of seagulls. The bustling street showcases parked cars and oncoming traffic, with a policeman expertly directing the flow on this narrow road marked by double yellow no parking lines. Nearby, "The Old Albion" pub welcomes patrons at outdoor tables, and soon after, the stunning Grade I listed church at Crantock comes into view. A serene village unfolds with charming cottages and parked cars, as others pass by, and we catch a glimpse of a delightful thatched cottage known as The Hatch, wrapping up this captivating film!
