I have an easy 1.5 mile walking route for you to do if you’ll be in Victoria for a late evening cruise ship arrival. Visiting Victoria cruise port at night means that you get to see the Parliament Buildings lit up, as well as fountains lit up. One of the fountains is also near a bear in a kilt! Victoria has a royal British history, and you can see this British influence with a walk around the inner harbour area, even with a cruise ship visit at night! _Disclaimer: Some websites below are affiliate partners and I may earn a commission._ *British-inspired walking route to see Victoria lit up at night* - Start: Fairmont Empress Hotel (the paid shuttle from Victoria cruise port will drop you off near here) - Canada sign - Inner Harbour Pathway - Legislative Assembly Fountain (the iconic Parliament Buildings lit up behind the fountain) - Victoria Centennial Fountain (backside of Parliament Buildings) - Confederation Fountain - Royal Scot Hotel (see the bear in a kilt) - End: Empress Hotel Google maps link with stops marked: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jdmppoZaZVxSAYmD9 *Fun and easy rides in Victoria* Horse-drawn carriage tour: https://www.viator.com/tours/Victoria/75-Minute-The-Capital-Tour/d617-2604P4?pid=P00096896&mcid=42383&medium=link&campaign=ak-yt-victoria-night Pedicab tour from the cruise port: https://www.viator.com/tours/Victoria/Victoria-Pedicab-Cruise-Ship-Guest-Package/d617-3564P4?pid=P00096896&mcid=42383&medium=link&campaign=ak-yt-victoria-night *See my picks for booking tours independently in Alaska cruise ports:* https://www.viator.com/partner-shop/myperfectalaskacruise *Another Victoria video* If you’ll make it to Victoria in time for sunset: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s-LsZW0kiQ *Read about the royal history of the lights at the Parliament Buildings:* https://www.leg.bc.ca/learn/discover-your-legislature/building-tour/exterior-features *Read on the blog* I’ve been to Victoria 3 times by cruise ship, and also for overnight stays, so I’ve got more ideas of things to do in Victoria: https://myperfectalaskacruise.com/canada-travel/things-to-do-in-victoria-canada/?utm_source=youtube_akvictoria_night *About me* I've had 100+ cruise days, and 7 cruises have included Alaska!
