HAL Zuiderdam Signature Suite 5001

Stateroom 5001 on Holland America Zuiderdam in an Accessible Signature Suite Balcony Stateroom located in the forward starboard section of the ship. In addition to having a balcony it has a forward facing picture window to see the bow area. The entry door and bathroom door are powered. The window curtains and Balcony curtains are powered. The balcony door has a traditional handle and swings open on a hinge. This Signature Suite features an accessible bathtub and a walk-in accessible shower. When departing and pulling into port you can hear the bow thrusters very prominently and if it is an early morning arrival, it may wake you up. This is considered a single-side accessible stateroom. The front window does open up to a crew work area. It is possible for crew to be present at different time of the day. Over the window and balcony door it states that the curtains must remain shut at night for navigational purposes. There are plugs and USB ports on both sides of the bed.
