Disembarking Virgin Voyages in Seattle? Save this... The walk from the ship to the Uber/Lyft pickup is LONG. Google says it's about 0.4 miles or a 10 to 15 minute walk along a pedestrian path. For me it felt more like 7 to 10 minutes. But the time isn't actually the issue. It's doing that walk with luggage that nobody warns you about. And if it's raining in Seattle... well. Crap. Here's the real talk: -If you're traveling light, it's sunny, and you're not in a rush, the walk is totally fine. I actually did it during my back-to-back when I was just carrying a pickleball bag and it was no big deal. -But when I actually disembarked with all my luggage? I made a different call. Doing that walk with real bags, in Seattle rain, would have ruined the last hour of my vacation. -The smart move is a yellow cab. They're lined up right outside the terminal exit, no walking required. A few reasons I recommend this: -Uber wait times CAN be long during disembarkation (not always, but sometimes) -Even if your Uber pops up quickly, that walk is still long, especially with luggage -If the weather turns on you, well, poop Other options to know about: - Prepaid transfers through Shore Things if you booked them in advance - Shuttle services that drop right at the terminal exit - Yellow cab is still my top pick for the airport run Pier 91 is brand new for Virgin and they're still working things out. So a few of these tips will probably get easier as time goes on, but for now, plan ahead. Save this for your sail date and share it with whoever you're sailing with so you both walk off the ship without the last-mile stress. 🏔️ Get my FREE Alaska packing list, port map, tips, and more!! https://christinelozada.com/alaska/ 📝Get on the EMAIL list! https://christinelozada.com/newsletter/ 🎥 See the Alaska PLAYLIST! https://youtu.be/v8Xvq234Alo
