Strong winds of up to 50 knots made port entry unsafe, prompting the captain to prioritize guest and crew safety. Instead of docking in Tunisia, the ship will spend an additional day at sea with enhanced onboard programming and activities. To adjust the schedule, MSC Splendida will now call at Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on February 13, 2026, replacing a previously scheduled sea day. New shore excursions are being arranged, and refunds for canceled Tunisia tours will be processed automatically. The ship is currently sailing seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises and recently returned from drydock in Malta. Its winter season continues through April 2026 before transitioning into updated itineraries.
