Moana’s world exists and it’s a direct flight from Australia 🥹 Who hasn’t dreamt of visiting Motunui and stepping into Moana’s world for a little bit?🌺👇🏽 (Follow @lavidadownunder for more travel inspo from Australia and bucket list destinations✈️🌍) 👉🏽 Welcome to the Cook Islands…one of the most magical places we’ve ever visited 😍 I always thought you had to go somewhere like French Polynesia or the Maldives for water and islands like this… but the Cook Islands are SO much closer to Australia and honestly so underrated 🤯🩵 Think unreal blue lagoons, tiny islands you can walk across, the warmest locals, and that slow, magical island life that makes you never want to leave 🤍 👉🏽 We visited both Rarotonga + Aitutaki and WOW… don’t just stop at Rarotonga. Aitutaki is an absolute dream 🌴✨ And the flights between the islands? Honestly an experience in themselves… the views from above are INSANE 😭✈️ FAQ👇🏽 ☀️ Best time to visit: • May–Oct = sunnier, cooler, less humidity (but busier) • Nov–Apr = warmer, tropical, fewer crowds + occasional rain🌺 👉🏽 We visited at the end of April / early May (shoulder season) and honestly loved it. Yes, we had a couple of rainy days, but I’d still 100% recommend it 🤞🏽 👉🏽 Should you visit more than one island? ABSOLUTELY.
