MSC World Europa | 7 Day Family Cruise | Part One | August 2026
We explore everything the MSC World Europa has to offer on our 7 day Mediterranean cruise. In this part one video we embark the ship in Barcelona before exploring Marseille and Genoa. This is our second ever cruise, with the first being the Disney Dream back in 2016. We were blown away by the scale of the ship, with so so much to explore. Embarking the ship with a smooth process, we had a balcony room with a room tour being in this video. The food on the ship was really nice, the buffet style restaurants had so much to offer, this was the only option we chose to do whilst on the ship for breakfast and lunch as it was all included. Throughout the seven days, we were assigned to the Bubbles Restaurant for dinner at 6pm each night on a Traitors style round table. This restaurant was lovely, we had the same waitresses across the seven days who by the end of the cruise were like best friends to us. The total cost of the trip for our family of 4 was £3,350, we had the easy package which included the buffet restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The easy package also included all soft drinks, local beer and wine, and a choice of cocktails at all the bars across the ship which was perfect for us. The games and activities whilst on board were really cool, if you love to dance then this is the cruise for you, it felt like whatever the time was there was some form of dance class to join with on the ship. Apologies for some of our dance moves during the video. Pool Parties were happening every single day in the main La Plage pool on deck 18. The shows on board were absolutely world class, in world class theatres. In Marseille, we went onboard the Big Tour Marseille land train to the Notre Dame De La Garde which was spectacular. The views alone would be a reason to visit, we really enjoyed the land train itself, giving us a glimpse of what Marseille has to offer. In Genoa, we intended to have a ride on the Bigo Ancensore Panoramico which is essentially a panoramic lift which gives incredible views of Genoa, however this was closed due to the heat when we arrived so we decided to go to one of Europe's largest Aquariums, the Acquario Di Genova. This turned out to be a great decision as it was delightful in the air conditioning and we got to see some incredible animals along the way. We did attend on a Sunday which meant this was a very busy few hours as you will find out. Honestly, this cruise is just incredible for all ages, entertainment around every corner, parties all day into the night, just everything about this ship screams family friendly. If you have never done a cruise as a family before then we would highly recommend the World Europa. All the crew and staff were incredible, really accommodating and got all families in the activities.
