The check-in process in Philadelphia is NOT great. In fact it is a complete mess! The Clarion Hotel is not equipped to handle this. The lines are one thing. The hot waiting area is another. The traffic leading into the hotel is backed up and the busses that are supposed to take us to the ship can't get in. We are all sitting around waiting to get to the ship. Not having a dedicated cruise terminal has really messed up the embarkation process. As more busses bring passengers from the airport, the crowds inside the hotel grow larger. The problem is there are no busses picking people up from the hotel. Norwegian has a giant mess on their hands and rumor has it the cruise terminal won't be ready for use until July 2026. that is a lot of cruisers that will have to deal with this. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE, QUICK. UPDATE: Check-in began at 9:30am. The first bus to the ship left at 12:00pm. There is a steady flow of busses arriving now.
