We flew Southwest Airlines AFTER their massive boarding change — here's what the new assigned seating experience is really like! Frontier Go Wild Pass Tip or Southwest Airlines Companion Pass: https://youtu.be/1OKewH09Lrs On January 27, 2026, Southwest Airlines officially ended 50+ years of open seating and introduced assigned seats on every flight. No more lining up at numbered posts. No more scrambling for a window seat. We flew it firsthand to see if the new system is better — or worse — for travelers like us. We flew 6 flights in 10 days on Southwest Airlines with their new boarding process. Whether you're a longtime Southwest loyalist or flying them for the first time, this is everything you need to know before your next flight.
