Hantavirus cruise passengers released after 42-day quarantine | 7NEWS
Six passengers from the MV Hondius cruise ship have been released from 42 days quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience in Bullsbrook, north of Perth, after potential exposure to hantavirus. Five Australians and one New Zealander were originally scheduled for three weeks of isolation, but their quarantine was extended to six weeks after additional passengers from the infected ship tested positive overseas. All six repatriated passengers tested negative throughout their daily health screenings and have now returned to their home states of Queensland and New South Wales.
