My first cruise, I packed like I was moving into a hotel room for a month. Shoes for every occasion, three bags of toiletries, a whole drawer of "just in case" items. By day two my cabin looked like a yard sale and I still couldn't find a flat surface for my sunglasses. 🧳 Then my cabin steward mentioned something that changed everything: the walls in almost every cruise ship cabin are solid metal. That means magnets stick to them just as easily as they'd stick to your fridge at home. I ran to the gift shop, found nothing, and made a mental note to bring magnetic hooks next time. On my next cruise, I packed a six dollar bag of magnetic hooks and hung my hats, sunglasses, and lanyard right by the cabin door. The tiny bathroom counter finally had room to breathe, and for the first time my suitcase actually closed on the way home. 😄 It's funny how the cheapest thing in my suitcase ended up doing the most work. What's the one inexpensive trick that made your cabin feel like it actually had enough space? #CruiseTips #CruisePacking #CruiseHacks #CruiseLife #FirstTimeCruiser
