Today we docked in Ocho Rios. And even though it didn’t get hit as hard as other parts of the island, they are still without power and water around the island. I talked to a few locals saying their jobs in the cruise port give them power to charge their phones and internet. The cruise port is up and running to provide for cruise passengers. This also includes (some) additional tours booked with the ships. It’s moments like these that humble us. And remind ourselves to be grateful for everything we have. It’s easy to forget this. My heart goes out to the people in Jamaica. If your planning a cruise to the island, go ashore and book tours buy some souvenirs and bring extra cash for tips. Our cruise line was able to provide pallets of provisions to the island. Whatever it is, every little bit helps. 🇯🇲🙏🏼
