We did a shore excursion in Alotau, Papua New Guinea. We did a mini culture experience where we visited a local community school and a village. The school kids were very excited to see us, performed a local tribal welcome, sung some songs, showed us their classrooms and prepared fresh foods. Visiting a developing country such as Papua New Guinea really is an eye opener. The PNG residents live such a simple life, no electricity, no gas, no council supplied water, yet, they get by, it's their life and they are happy. It makes you realise how privileged we are living in Australia. We don't need more to live a better life. You can visit Papua New Guinea villages such as Alotau and Kiriwina Island on cruises leaving Australia. Thanks for watching our vlog, we hope you enjoy it.
