We Explored Funchal Madeira… Then Went ABOVE the City!
Join us as MSC Virtuosa arrives in the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira, where we spend the day exploring the spectacular city of Funchal. Rather than simply walking around the city, we jump aboard a hop-on hop-off open-top sightseeing bus and take a tour around Funchal, enjoying fantastic views of the coastline, harbour, historic streets and the dramatic mountains rising behind the city. Funchal is one of those places where the scenery just keeps getting better, and sitting on the top deck of the bus gives us a fantastic perspective as we travel around the island's capital. But our Funchal adventure doesn't end there! To finish our visit, we head to the famous Funchal Cable Car and begin the spectacular journey up to Monte. As the cable car climbs high above the city, the views across Funchal, the harbour and the Atlantic Ocean become absolutely incredible.
