Friday September 18th, 2026 — So were in the air and no sight of a break in the clouds. This is the very first time since I have been on these small planes flying to Xuna/Hoonah or Gustavus since the 1990's that we were in the clouds the whole way. Back in the day there was a line of sight rule and that rule was in place because of small planes crashing into mountains etc. and also Alaska Airlines over the years. Obviousely the instruments today are way more advanced. These pilots are monitoring those instruments closely. But it dosen't change the feeling I get when looking outside the plane and only see Clouds. Gunalchéesh for being part of this journey!
