Welcome to Ketchikan, Alaska! In this Alaska cruise port day adventure, we explore historic Creek Street, learn about Ketchikan’s colorful past, and visit some of the town’s most iconic sights including the Salmon Ladder and Married Man’s Trail. Then comes the highlight of the day — boarding the legendary Aleutian Ballad from Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch! We got to see bald eagles up close, hold crabs (yes, Janet actually did it 😄), and experience one of the most unforgettable excursions of our entire Alaska cruise. To wrap up the day, we head back to the ship to try Ketchikan’s famous salmon donut… and let’s just say the reviews were mixed.
