Are Cruise Lines Taking Casinos Too Far - My Vulnerable Take | Cruise Ship Casinos
I'm being 100% transparent in my venerable take today: I had to stop gambling at cruise ship casinos. I was losing more money than I ever imagined just to "win" free cruise certificates and have a cruise comped. But as I stay out of the cruise casinos, cruise ship casinos are expanding and are literally taking over the ships—from the Oasis-class Jazz Clubs to the prime real estate on the Freedom of the Seas promenade. It has me stopping to ask "Are cruise lines taking casinos too far"? If you find that gambling is no longer just a hobby or you relate to the struggles I’ve shared in this video, please know that help and resources are available. You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. Resources for Support: National Gambling Helpline: If you are in the U.S., you can call or text 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) for confidential support 24/7. Onboard Support: Most cruise ships host Friends of Bill W. meetups. While these are often associated with AA, they provide a safe, supportive space for anyone in recovery to find community while at sea. Seeking help is a sign of strength, and taking that first step can make all the difference in regaining control of your vacation and your finances. Join the Conversation!
