We recently boarded a cruise ship right after a major norovirus outbreak - and way before it made headlines. My mom was so worried about us encountering the norovirus symptoms that she checked in twice to make sure we were safe. This video shares our experience and thoughts on the situation, especially concerning cruise news and the realities of a stomach bug on board. Holland America alerted us that there was a norovirus outbreak on the Rotterdam the night before we were to board for our 9-day ABC island cruise. They also let us know that they would be boarding 3 hours later than originally scheduled, so they could do a deep cleaning of the ship. What would you have done in our place?
