Jill and my mom went on another cruise without me! This time they sailed aboard Sky Princess from Southampton on an itinerary through France, Spain and Portugal — and Jill is walking us through the cruise port by port. This particular sailing included the 2026 total solar eclipse, which we covered in a separate episode. Here, we focus on everything else: what Jill did in each port, the excursions she chose, what she'd do differently next time, and whether this is an itinerary she'd recommend. Stops and excursions include Mont-Saint-Michel from Cherbourg, San Sebastián from Bilbao, the Alhambra from Málaga, Roman history in Cartagena, biking around Gibraltar, Lisbon, Queluz and Cascais in Portugal, and A Coruña in northern Spain. Princess offers other cruises from Southampton with similar combinations of ports in France, Spain and Portugal — and there are more Princess solar eclipse sailings coming in 2027. A special thank-you to The Cruise Globe for allowing us to use their cruise maps in this episode. They are not a sponsor, but if you enjoy cruise maps as much as I do, I highly recommend checking them out: https://thecruiseglobe.com 🌑 Our Sky Princess Total Solar Eclipse episode: https://youtu.be/TEwsq5-RuSs 🇬🇧 What We Did With One Day in London: https://youtu.be/ePdNaEYVDp8 CHAPTERS 00:00 Jill went cruising without me! 00:41 Thanks to The Cruise Globe 01:01 Other similar Princess itineraries 01:23 Southampton 02:14 Cherbourg & Mont-Saint-Michel 04:09 Bilbao & San Sebastián 05:24 Málaga & the Alhambra 06:23 Cartagena 07:05 Gibraltar 08:19 Lisbon, Queluz & Cascais 10:45 A Coruña 11:28 Conclusion #SkyPrincess #PrincessCruises #EuropeanCruise #cruisereview #cruiseports #spaintravel #portugaltravel #montsaintmichel
