The Roatán Most Cruise Passengers Never See 🇭🇳 | MSC Seascape Vlog

It’s Day 5 of my 30th Birthday Cruise aboard MSC Seascape, and today we’re back in Roatán, Honduras! 🇭🇳 This is my fifth time visiting Roatán, but this port day was completely different from my previous visits. I booked the Roatan Uncovered: Local Life and Island Style Lunch tour with JD Roatán Adventures because I wanted to see more of the island beyond the cruise port and some of the areas most cruise passengers normally experience. Before the tour, we start the morning with room service, head off MSC Seascape and spend a little time around the Port of Roatán while Star of the Seas makes her way into port. Then it’s time to meet my guide, Diana, and head out into Roatán. Throughout the day, I got to see local communities, learn more about everyday life on the island, visit the municipal market, take in some incredible views, explore West End, learn how chocolate is made, sample local chocolate, try several different rums, taste some Honduran coffee and finally get the Roatán oxtails I had been waiting for. 😂 And those oxtails did NOT disappoint. One thing I do want to point out: you’re only seeing part of everything we did during my tour with JD Roatán Adventures. I didn’t include every stop or every moment from the day in this vlog. The experience was much more extensive than what made the final edit, and that’s one of the things I enjoyed about having a private tour. Diana was absolutely amazing. The day never felt rushed, I learned a lot about Roatán outside of the traditional tourist areas, and I still got to enjoy some of the more familiar areas of the island along the way. After an incredible day in Roatán, it’s back aboard MSC Seascape for sailaway, dinner at the Marketplace Buffet, a little more exploring around the ship and an early night because tomorrow we’re headed to Cozumel for Paradise Beach!
