The cruise that started it all! #short
In September of 2021, my husband and I went on our first cruise. I didn’t enjoy being catered to, I cried a few times, and felt humbled. I told my husband cruising wasn’t for me. My husband enjoyed the experience, and developed a love for cruising. We sailed on the MSC Meraviglia with one of my husband’s brothers. I enjoyed the sea because it reminded me of my dad. My dad was a fisherman, and spent most of his life on the sea. My dad passed away a year prior, so it was bittersweet to think about how much he loved and respected the ocean. The cruise went well. Joseph was our Room Steward/Attendant. We went home and had a good outlook on our experience. Move forward to 2024-2025, my husband had a few health scares, and those health scares accelerated the process to travel while you can. Tomorrow is not promised. More money will not resolve your health issues. Traveling isn’t about checking off boxes, but a genuine appreciation for the journey. It’s not what I imagine when I book the cruise, but it’s a journey filled with good and not so good memories. Don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today. Enjoy life in whatever capacity you can. Traveling doesn’t mean flying, driving long distances, or going to a different country. Start small. Enjoy nature. I watched many YouTube videos on beaches, and my husband’s then 5/6 year old nephew, told him to take me to the beach. #travel #travelagent #life #live
