Running from October 1, 1999, to January 1, 2001, the celebration was primarily based at Epcot, with its emphasis on human potential and the possibilities of the future. The Celebration spawned many changes for Epcot. In 1999, a large wand was erected next to Spaceship Earth with "2000" written on it. Also, a new fireworks show was created for the World Showcase Lagoon called "IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth." A parade located in Epcot called "Tapestry of Nations" was also created for the celebration, which would also become the inspiration for the Disney-produced Super Bowl XXXIV halftime show, which promoted the Millennium Celebration. "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" was the theme song of the celebration, and was released on the 1999 Walt Disney World official album. The Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration album also contained this song as well as the soundtracks to the fireworks show and the parade. This CD was also available in a slightly different form on the Walt Disney World: Yearlong Millennium Celebration album, a promotional CD available to purchasers of Energizer batteries. #adventureschmuck #waltdisneyworld #retrospective #orlando #themepark The Millennium Celebration at Walt Disney World (1999) - Retro Vacation Planning Video * Restored * Chapters: 00:00 Opening Titles 00:11 Introduction 00:40 I really miss DisneyQuest 00:55 DisneyQuest also had Virtual Reality Attractions 01:15 They already renamed Disney-MGM Studios for the first time 01:55 The Disney Millennium Celebration Video begins 04:24 Epcot 06:10 Leave a Legacy 06:25 Millennium Central 06:42 Millennium Village 07:45 IllumiNations 2000 08:35 Test Track 08:48 Honey, I Shrunk The Audience 08:55 Epcot Tour 09:10 World Showcase 09:27 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 09:38 Epcot Food & Wine Festival 09:45 Lights of Winter 10:10 Magic Kingdom 11:40 Main Street Electrical Parade 11:55 Walt Disney World Fireworks Show 12:10 Disney Studios 13:00 The NEW Rock 'N Roller Coaster! 13:12 Beauty & The Beast Live Stage Show 13:20 The Great Movie Ride 13:30 Star Tours 13:45 Disney Studios Backlot Tour 14:05 MuppetVision 3D 14:20 Fantasmic Show 14:45 Disney's Animal Kingdom 15:45 Tree of Life 16:30 Kilimanjaro Safaris 16:55 Pangani Exploration Trail 17:10 Conservation Station 17:15 Countdown to Extinction Dark Ride 17:30 Asia 18:05 Kali River Rapids 18:20 Tarzan Rocks! 18:30 Festival of the Lion King 18:45 Animal Kingdom tour 19:50 Typhoon Lagoon 20:10 River Country 20:20 Downtown Disney 20:40 The World of Disney 20:50 Dining Options 21:25 DisneyQuest! 21:38 Pleasure Island 21:50 Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex 22:05 Disney Golf Courses 22:18 The Disney Institute 22:45 Disney Resorts 23:33 Value Resorts 23:43 Moderate Resorts 24:05 Deluxe Resorts 24:45 Home Away From Home 26:15 Tickets 27:40 Disney Cruise Line 30:33 Millennium Celebration Conclusion
