Worried about seasickness?
Our expedition ships are built for exploration and for comfort. It’s important to know that not everyone experiences motion sickness. That said, if you know you’re prone to it — or you’re unsure — preparation makes all the difference. Many travelers find relief with preventative options such as tablets, patches, or acupressure bands. To be fully prepared, we always recommend speaking with your personal doctor before embarkation to understand what works best for you. On more adventurous routes, like the Drake Passage, ocean conditions can be more dynamic (that’s part of the expedition experience). If discomfort does occur, simple habits can help: stay hydrated, eat light, and give your body time to adapt. 🌊 Curious to go deeper? Would you like firsthand insights and practical tips directly from our officers like our captains and doctors? Let us know, and we’ll take you behind the scenes.
