Let Erin and Phil book this same experience for you, personally! We started ABC Trips to offer our bespoke itineraries to those seeking authentic culture, epic landscapes, and uncompromising luxury. 👉🏼 https://abctrips.com My last video showed you how our Antarctica adventure began: a few days in the city of Buenos Aires, followed by our own experience crossing the dreaded Drake Passage. But since our voyage starts with a couple days at sea, let me show you what the onboard experience is like. Real quick — before you assume this is a "roughing it" situation... let me show you our cabin. Actually, I shouldn’t call it a “cabin” because this is an all-suite ship and ours happens to be adjoining with our kids’. The bed is big… there’s a separate desk, couch and sitting area… and the bathroom’s nearly as big as ours back home. But the veranda is where it’s at. Views for days… or in our case, about two weeks. They’ll ask for your favorite beers, wines, or spirits prior to the trip — and they stock your suite accordingly. Because this trip is truly all-inclusive. Even their famous caviar on-demand policy, which we happily took advantage of several times daily. The interior vibe is expedition-ready, but like... bougie expedition. If that's a genre, this ship invented it. The food situation? Unhinged. In a great way. The welcome lunch was a full seafood spread, and dinner at the main restaurant felt like a proper fine dining night out — except you're floating somewhere near the bottom of the world and there's nothing but ocean out the window. The "where are we right now" factor hits different at dinner. Even the main buffet restaurant goes all out for dinner, with theme nights and bottomless champagne. We swapped between both restaurants and the upstairs sushi bar daily, just for a little variety. No reservations required. Everything’s open and everything’s included. Love it. There's a yoga studio, a full spa and salon, a pool deck with dual hot tubs that you can use while you're sailing through open ocean. Views are everything in a jacuzzi and I highly doubt they get any more epic than these. Actually, having a dedicated crew member keeping your champagne glass full is pretty key, too. Nightlife on the ship is perfectly understated. Some nights the crew entertains passengers, but there’s also dedicated musical talent, ongoing trivia nights, the classy lounges, and plenty of Antarctica lectures in the theater. Our cruise director even hid these tiny penguin figures around the ship every day so that passengers could compete for the prize package awarded to whomever finds the most throughout the cruise. Hint: it was Colt. Oh, ya — you don’t see many kids on these expeditions, but they really are family-friendly. The bow lounge, in particular, is a hidden gem — huge windows, low lighting… a great spot to just be while the ship moves through something that looks like it was CGI'd. It’s also the place where we did the thing that's pretty specific to traveling with us: we threw a private welcome party for our group on board. It was a whole deal — our people, our vibe, custom cocktails, the merch hand-outs, the whole shebang. That's not a standard offering. That's an ABC Trips thing. There's something about pulling a group of strangers together around a shared bucket-list moment that just... works. By the time we actually hit Antarctica, this group was tight. Next episode we're off the ship, in the zodiacs, and I'm standing next to a penguin who absolutely does not care that I'm there. Which is kind of the best thing ever. Antarctica might be closer than you think — especially with the right team planning it. Check us out at abctrips.com and say hey. And follow my channel so you don’t miss the next 3 episodes.
