First Impressions of Vancouver Island... We Can't Believe This!
This is our FIRST time visiting Vancouver Island, and after hearing so many amazing things about this place since arriving in Canada, we were VERY excited to finally see it for ourselves! 😮 After a few weeks of setting ourselves up, buying a van, and slowly figuring out life in a completely new country, this felt like the moment our trip across Canada was properly beginning. The only slight issue? We've only owned our 40-year-old Chevrolet campervan for a few days… and now we were about to drive it onto a ferry and take it to Vancouver Island for its first real test! 😅 In this video, we take the ferry from Vancouver-to-Vancouver Island (Victoria), experience BC Ferries for the first time, explore what feels more like a cruise ship than a ferry, and then nervously wait to see if our old van will actually start again when it’s time to get off… 👀 Once we arrive on Vancouver Island, things immediately get a little messy with rain, dodgy windscreen wipers, and a trip the retirement home.... But despite the stress, we share our first impressions of Vancouver Island... and WOW!
