The Sonata Arctica Sampo Icebreaker Cruise was a very special event held on February 28, 2026, in Kemi, Finland, as part of the band’s 30th anniversary celebrations. Sonata Arctica did something quite unusual: they invited a very limited number of fans aboard the historic Sampo icebreaker, a ship that travels through the frozen waters of the Gulf of Bothnia. Sonata Arctica performed a short acoustic set on board. It wasn't a full concert; they played only four songs, lasting around 17 minutes: The Rest of the Sun Belongs to Me Letter to Dana Half a Marathon Man Broken At the end of the cruise, fans had the opportunity to get autographs and received a special Sonata Arctica diploma.
