6 Years Full-Time RVing… What We Got WRONG
After nearly 6 years of full-time RVing, there are a few things we got VERY wrong when we started. We thought we'd plan our travels a year in advance. We thought internet wouldn't be that difficult. We thought full-time RV life would look a certain way. It didn't. Our version of full-time RVing looks different from what many people expect: 🏠 We DIDN'T sell our house. 💼 We DIDN'T retire. 🚐 We still own and operate our business. ❤️ And yes… after almost six years, we would absolutely do it again. But we would do some things differently. In this video, we're talking honestly about what nearly six years of full-time RV life has really looked like — what worked, what we underestimated, what changed, and the lessons we wish we'd known before hitting the road. 🚐 WE TALK ABOUT: 🏠 Why we kept our house while going full-time 💼 How we run our business from the road 📅 Why we stopped planning every week months in advance 📶 How badly we underestimated our internet needs 🔧 RV repairs, truck problems and unexpected schedule changes 📦 Getting packages while constantly moving 🌡️ Weather, campground surprises and changing plans 👨👩👧👦 How grandchildren and family changed the way we travel 🌎 The places that made all the miles worth it ❤️ The people we've met who became family 🚢 How RVing somehow turned Jimmy into a cruise guy 😂 Why arguing in a 400-square-foot RV doesn't work very well ❓ And the biggest question of all… WOULD WE DO IT AGAIN? Full-time RV life isn't always perfect campgrounds, beautiful sunsets and trouble-free travel days. Sometimes the RV breaks. Sometimes the truck breaks. Sometimes the weather changes everything. Sometimes family needs you back home. You learn to BOB AND WEAVE. But we've also experienced places we might never have seen otherwise — Niagara Falls, Goosenecks State Park, Glacier, Yellowstone, Montana, the Florida Keys and many more. More importantly, RVing introduced us to people who have become some of our closest friends and family. And nearly six years later, we're still not ready to stop. 👇 NOW WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! If you're a full-time RVer, what would YOU do differently if you could start over? If you're thinking about going full-time, what's the biggest question or concern holding you back? And everyone — what is ONE place you've visited in your RV that you think we absolutely HAVE to see? Drop it in the comments.
