Why the Titanic Would Struggle Against the QM2
Is the Queen Mary 2 truly the modern successor to the Titanic? In this video, we dive deep into the ultimate ocean liner comparison, looking at everything from sheer scale and speed to the evolution of luxury at sea. While the Titanic was the marvel of 1912 at 46,328 tons, the Queen Mary 2 is a staggering 149,215 gross tons (151,608 metric tonnes). We explore how these two icons compare in size, amenities, and what it’s actually like to cross the Atlantic today versus 114 years ago. In this video, we cover: The Size Gap: Seeing the Titanic next to the QM2 is eye-opening. Luxury Evolution: From Titanic's Turkish Baths to the QM2’s Planetarium. Engineering: How modern "ocean liner" construction differs from the Golden Age. The Verdict: Is the QM2 actually "better" than the most famous ship in history?
